What is the HDA?
| The Hospital de Dia per Adolescents (HDA) [Adolescent Day Centre] is a partial admission unit for the adolescents with mental and behavioural disorders, integrated into the Catalan Health Service Public Mental Health Network. |
What are its functions?
| Provision of care to adolescents with severe mental and behavioural disorders who have major adaptation problems and who cannot be treated through Primary Health Care or Mental Health Centres and require intensive, multidimensional intervention without losing contact with their family and social environment. |
What services does it offer?
| The HDA, as a secondary care-provision service, offers: |

Differential, symptomatic and structural diagnosis. |

Intensive and multidimensional therapeutic approach in adolescents in crisis with the risk of onset of chronic conditions or with unsatisfactory progress as outpatients. |

It promotes community, occupational, school and social rehabilitation in the adolescent population. |
Who does it coordinate with?
The HDA coordinates with the corresponding Child and Adolescent and the Adult Mental Health Centres and other community teams and with the Department of Education.
Who does the HAD provide care to?
The HDA provides care to adolescents aged from 12-18 with severe behavioural mental disorders, although in exceptional cases it can also see 18 to 20 year-olds.

Who makes up the health-care team?
It is a multidisciplinary team comprised of doctors/psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, trained nurses, social workers and clerical staff who guarantee a professional, confidential and personalised service.
When is it open?
The centre is open for consultations Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
