Les Corts and Sarrià-Sant Gervasi Support for Autonomy in the Home Programme (Programa de Suport a l’Autonomia a la Pròpia Llar (PSAPL LC and SSG))
What is the PSAPL?
This is a specialised programme run by the Institut Català d’Assistència i Serveis Socials (ICASS) [Catalan Health Care and Social Services Institute] to help people with mental disorder to lead an independent life.
What are its functions?
The PSAPL provides support for personal autonomy, directed at helping people to develop independence in their activities of daily living, both at home and in the community, thereby affording them autonomy. To this end, it provides support to people in self-care activities at home and in the community, helping them and providing them with support to plan and manage their home; their administrative and financial affairs, health and the use of community resources.
What services does it offer?
The PSAPL provides services in the following areas: personal care, life in the home, health, safety, working life, family life, life in the community and resource management. The interventions are based on a personal care plan.
Who does it coordinate with?
The CS coordinates its activities with the district health, mental health, social and community services.
Who does it target?
People aged between 18 and 65 years who have been certified as disabled due to a mental disorder with confirmation of their condition following assessment by the ICASS Servei de Valoració i Orientació (CAD) [Assessment and Guidance Service].
